I got an email from someone recommending me to go to The Latin Jazz Corner at the following URL http//www.chipboaz.com/blog/best-of 2008/. I tried several times but it did not work, so I had to Google by typing chipboaz. I found them on the first try; http://www.chipboaz.com/blog/best-of-2008/
They have a section for the Best of 2008 where they give the opportunity to anyone to vote for someone on each category. The only disadvantage, it’s that I can only vote once. Yes, they track down the IP address and once I vote, that’s it. I am locked forever from voting on the category.
There are several choices, but I will only mention the ones that caught my eye; mostly because I’ve heard the music of the ones listed. For a complete list of all the nominees per category, The Latin Jazz Corner is the best resource.

I guess this is a nice way to recognize the talent of these great musicians. The regulations are pretty straight forward. The Latin Jazz corner provides the opportunity to suggest other artist/albums/record labels that are not listed.
It takes someone to love a genre and appreciate the music to create something like this. There are so many great musicians, so much talent that goes unnoticed that it’s refreshing someone stays on top of things.
This is it for this posting. Until next time.
